Supporting the next generation of female founders
Our mission is to bridge the gap in Venture Capital funding by connecting aspiring female entrepreneurs with experienced female mentors. We believe that every woman with a vision deserves the opportunity to turn her dreams into reality. Even though 78% of girls want to entrepreneurs, less than 2% of VC funding goes to female-only founded companies. We're here to help level the playing field by giving girls the necessary education, skills, and connections to be able to successfully secure VC funding in the future.
Our platform provides a unique space where emerging female leaders can showcase their innovative ideas through carefully crafted business plans. These ideas aren't just presentations; they're the gateway to a brighter future. We sift through these brilliant concepts, selecting the top 5 winners who will have the opportunity to receive feedback and guidance from female mentors and the chance to present in front of an esteemed panel of female venture capitalists. But it doesn't end there. Our network is about empowerment, growth, and support. The female venture capitalists on our panel aren't just potential investors; they're mentors, advocates, and believers in the potential of women in business. They have the power to not just financially invest but also to provide the guidance and resources necessary for these ideas to flourish.
Our commitment to empowering women in the business world goes beyond just selecting a handful of winners. We understand that talent is abundant, and every well-thought-out submission deserves recognition and support. That's why, in addition to the top 5 winners who pitch to female venture capitalists, we're proud to introduce an opportunity that extends far beyond the competition stage.
For 10 finalists, we're excited to extend invitations to an exclusive webinar. This webinar is more than just a virtual event – it's a platform where CEOs, businesspeople, and industry leaders come together to provide invaluable advice, answer burning questions, and potentially forge connections that could be the stepping stones to turning personal visions and business ideas into realities.
At Future Girl Entrepreneurs, we're not just creating a competition; we're fostering an ecosystem of education and mentorship. We understand that success is multifaceted and connections are crucial in the journey toward achieving one's goals. Our webinar serves as a bridge between aspiring entrepreneurs and seasoned professionals, helping to turn dreams into reality. Join us in our journey to support the next generation of female founders and make sure that significantly more than 2% of VC funding goes to female-only founded companies. Together, we can build a future where women are not limited by which companies they can start or industries they can succeed in, a future where women are not kept out of inner circles without the connections to not only fund their ideas but also help develop them, and a future where that 78% of young girls who want to be entrepreneurs will not be discouraged or shut out and instead be able to achieve their dreams.

What differentiates FGE is that we're specifically focused on helping girls learn how to access capital. We realize that although 78% of girls want to be entrepreneurs and 42% of businesses in the US are women-owned, less than 2% of VC funding goes to female-only founded companies. Even though not all companies need VC funding to succeed, many do, and female founders should not be limited by which industries they can prosper in. Our goal by not only educating girls about Venture Capital but also providing them with mentorship and connections is to change the odds so that today's young girls can achieve their dreams and become the successful entrepreneurs of tomorrow.
The contest is open to girls 14 through 20 years old.
Each of the 5 winners will be paired up with at least 2 different mentors based on what would be most helpful for that winner's business idea that she submitted. They will meet with each mentor during one 30-minute session and one 45-minute session at different points throughout their process of developing their business ideas and preparing their decks to pitch to the panel of VCs. Each winner will end up with a total of over 7 hours of mentorship during the contest.
